Supervisor of Safety Named Finalist

Crown Point Community School Corporation (CPCSC) is pleased to announce that their Supervisor of Safety and Security, Dave Coulson, has been named as one of ten finalists for the Indianapolis Colts Classroom Quarterback Award presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Mr. Coulson was selected as a finalist for his exceptional leadership in the district’s safety initiatives and strategic partnerships with local agencies and first responders. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the students, staff, and community members of CPCSC.

The Classroom Quarterback Award recognizes school teachers, administrators, nurses, and staff members who go above and beyond for their students, schools, and communities. Finalists are selected based on their involvement in school and/or community, positive impact on the school and/or community, and demonstrated commitment to education, health and wellness initiatives, and other programming.

A panel of educational professionals, the Indianapolis Colts, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield have selected the ten finalists. One finalist will be named the Classroom Quarterback of the year and receive a $2,500 donation for their school.

All finalists receive a $100 Amazon gift card for school supplies, two tickets to the first regular season home game of the Colts 2023 season, and Colts merchandise.

CPCSC Superintendent, Dr. Todd Terrill, said, "We are proud of Mr. Coulson's dedication to the safety and security of our students and staff. Being named a finalist for the Classroom Quarterback Award is a testament to his hard work and commitment to our school community."
