Mishawaka Police Department Leadership Transition at Board of Public Works Meeting

Tomorrow, the City of Mishawaka will witness a significant leadership transition within the Mishawaka Police Department during the Board of Public Works meeting at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers. Former Services Chief, Alex Arendt, will be officially sworn in as the new Chief of Police, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the department's history. Additionally, Detective Tim Wiley will be sworn in as the new Investigative Division Chief, and Dan Gebo will be Sworn in as a School Resource officer, underscoring the department's commitment to strong leadership and community safety.

Mayor Dave Wood will also present a proclamation honoring former Chief of Police, Ken Witkowski, whose long-standing service to the city has been instrumental in shaping the department. In addition to the proclamation, Ken Witkowski will be sworn in as the Director of Code Enforcement, where he will continue to serve the Mishawaka community in a new capacity.
