Ignite Medical Resorts embarked on a “Back to the Future” tour visiting the hospitals and first responders of Northwest Indiana. They showcased a replica of the "Back to the Future" iconic DeLorean to promote their forward-thinking approach to healthcare. The tour made stops at local hospitals, first responder stations, and the Dyer Police and Fire departments, to promote and advocate for Ignite’s dedication to redefining post-hospital rehabilitation and assisted living.
Ignite Vice President of Business Development Kelly Pero-Petty led the tour dressed as Marty McFly, using the "Back to the Future" theme to engage the community and highlight Ignite’s distinctive approach to healthcare. Attendees were invited to take photos with the DeLorean and pose alongside Doc.
“Our theme today is fast forwarding to the future of healthcare, bringing the DeLorean out, getting people excited, and showing how what we offer at Ignite is different,” Pero-Petty said. “We want to make the experience both fun and engaging, and what better way to do that than snapping a photo with Doc and diving into what the future of healthcare looks like?”
Ignite CEO and Co-Founder Tim Fields shared that Ignite is not just another rehabilitation facility but a “medical resort” combining top-tier medical care with the comforts and design of a luxury hotel. The event was designed to showcase the differences between Ignite and other care facilities in the area.
Ignite Medical Resorts is setting itself apart by combining cutting-edge technology and luxury amenities. Pero-Petty and her team are trying to redefine how people in the Northwest Indiana community view post-hospital rehabilitation and assisted living.
"We are one of the only facilities in the area that is a medical resort," Fields said. "We have the best of both worlds—amenities, customer service, and hotel-style boutique interior design. Our facilities feature coffee in our lobby, chef-prepared food, concierge service, and some of the best rehabilitation and nursing care available."
Ignite Medical Resorts has experience with advanced rehabilitation technology, including robotics and virtual reality therapy.
"Just like the DeLorean, we're using robotics technology — the only facility in the area with a system called Andago robotics, which is a gait and balance trainer, to get people up and walking," Fields said. "We also have neuro VR, where patients can simulate daily tasks like shopping or walking down a sidewalk in a virtual environment to prepare for life back home."
Ignite Medical Resorts’ goal is to be the top choice for patients recovering from illness or surgery by providing a comfortable, hospitality-focused environment with aggressive therapy and nursing care.
"We want to influence the community by being the best place to go when someone has a need," Fields said. "Our goal is to help them get their spark back and return home to their loved ones."
The Ignite Medical Resorts "Back to the Future" tour is a reminder to the community that recovery is not just a necessity but an enjoyable and comforting experience. As the DeLorean continued its journey from hospital to hospital, Pero-Petty and her team advocated for the medical community that the future of healthcare is here and leading the way.
