Myers Elementary
On April 23rd the Myers Drama Club got the chance to take a backstage tour of The Addams Family Musical at Portage High School. Students were able to experience the excitement and thrill of being part of a cast and crew as they checked out the sound booth, workshop, greenroom, and even stepped on stage! It was an amazing opportunity for students to see what they are working towards and got them even more pumped up about the arts.

PHS Social Studies teachers (from L-R) Eric Mundt, Greg Mundt, Mark Marvin, Matt Hills, and Tom Erickson were chosen as ACES recipients at the annual PHS ACES banquet on April 13th at Woodland Park.
PHS World Language Department
German Students at Portage High School had the opportunity to take a field trip to Valparaiso University's 14th Annual Theaterfest. Pictured in VU's chapel (left to right) are Teresa Neubert, Jon Runyan, Angel Orta, Jessica Stull, Christian Schubert, Gabby Erdelles, Ben Langbehn, Kayla Cardenas, and Jacob Smolnicky. Students watched short plays by NWI High School and VU German students. They completed their day with a tour of the Kade-Dusenberg German House where students taking German at VU can live and elect to only speak German while in the German House.
