It was a red carpet affair for Century 21 Alliance Group on Tuesday evening in the newly renovated Aberdeen Inn. The full-service real estate brokerage firm presented awards to their high achieving teammates. Dinner, dessert, and cocktails were served to the close-knit work family.
Nick and Jeanne Sommer, husband and wife, own Century 21 Alliance Group. He said the evening was a great opportunity for everyone to get together to celebrate last year’s accomplishments. Sommer enjoyed the ceremony because it gave the agents and staff a chance to mingle outside of the workplace. The environment was supportive, and everyone present expressed excitement for the award recipients.
“The awards come from the corporate office, and receiving one is a statement that says you worked hard and deserve to be recognized for how you fared against peers across the country,” Sommer said. “Our group is made of honest-to-goodness good people. They are nice, honest, and they work hard and play hard, too.”
Terry McCaleb has her office shelf dusted off, ready to proudly display her two awards: Masters Ruby and Quality Service Pinnacle Producer. She got into real estate because she knew she had the skills, organization, and drive to make it in the competitive, commission-based business. This is her fourth year to receive the Pinnacle Producer Award, and she was overjoyed to accept the Masters Ruby.
“For me, it was matter of achieving goals I had set for myself,” McCaleb said. “It felt good to accomplish what I set out to do.”
Bryan Bennett, recipient of the Quality Service Pinnacle Producer award, is thrilled to be recognized for his above-average service. Bennett said his career is about serving people to the best of his ability. He has won this award seven years in a row, proving that he found his niche in real estate. Bennett acknowledges part of his success is due to the helpful, loving atmosphere of Century 21 Alliance Group. He noted that the average agent stays for 10 years, and the turnover rate is low because of the excellent leadership.
“I like people,” Bennett said. “I focus on my customer service, because if you take care of people it always comes back to you.”
Roxanne Chayhitz, Master Ruby award recipient and part-owner of Aberdeen Inn, said that the evening focused on making people feel good and recognizing accomplishments. Chayhitz relayed that the annual award ceremony is inspiring and makes everyone strive to move to the next level.
“When you feel good, you excel,” Chayhitz said.

“Our office has always felt like home,” Moore said. “I like the culture of the company, and tonight we can validate people for their accomplishments and hard work."
Linda Fillippo, winner of the Quality Service Pinnacle Producer award, was the first to join the company. She said that her office is a family, and that Jeanne and Nick Sommer value their many members’ opinions and seek their input.
“We are all about working together toward the same goal,” Fillippo said. “It’s comfortable in the office, and you don’t feel like anyone is trying to steal anything from you.”
The Jeanne Sommer team consists of Laurie Anderson, Michelle Renninger, Pam Kandalec, Jodie Peller, and Julie Johnson.
