12th Annual Classic and Antique Car Show

Event Information

The La Porte County Historical Society Museum will host the 12th Annual Classic & Antique Car Show on Saturday, July 20. Event hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the registration fee for exhibited cars is $15.00 per car. The event is open to cars that were manufactured in 1989 and earlier. All cars will be on display on the Museum grounds. Admission to the car show is $5 per car load. A DJ will provide music and Homerun Hot Dogs will sell food and beverages.

Trophies to be awarded include Director’s Choice, Assistant Director’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice, Sheriff’s Choice, President’s Choice, Preservation Award, and Chairman’s Choice. Also, five Participant’s Choice and five Public’s Choice trophy plaques will be awarded. Car exhibitors will receive a dash plaque and two free admission tickets to the Museum.

On permanent display is the Kesling Automobile Collection of over 30 antique and classic cars, including a Duesenberg, Auburn, Cord, Tucker, DeLorean, and others. The museum is rated a “Gem Site” by AAA. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The museum is handicapped accessible.
