Guardianship Training Class

Event Information

We are hosting a Volunteer Guardianship training class at the Porter County Aging and Community Services building on Sat., Dec. 7 from 9-12:00 to help those elders and incapacitated adults in our area to have quality care and community support.

This is part of an ongoing effort to improve the care provided at our area long term care facilities since 2015. We've worked with Sen. Ed Charbonneau to try to get legislation passed, and we have had two public forums attended by 50 area residents to discuss the importance of this topic. Our last forum was October of last year, and three members of the IN State Dept. of Health and three members of the IN Family and Social Services Admin. attended.
