NIPSCO will be conducting planned necessary repairs to a section of overhead power lines spanning across I-80/94 in Gary, Indiana this weekend. The project work is between the I-65 interchange and Broadway, and involves rolling closures of all I-80/94 eastbound and westbound lanes. The estimated timeframe of the project is Sunday, Sept. 5 beginning at 10 p.m. CT to Monday, Sept. 6 at 4 a.m. CT. The work is being conducted during the overnight hours to help minimize the disruption to motorists travelling over the weekend. NIPSCO is coordinating closely with the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indiana State Police to ensure the safety of the area. Please use caution if moving through the area.
