Imagine Music Brings Willie Nile Back to Close Out Season
Imagine Music will close the fifth year of its concert series with our old friend Willie Nile on October 19, 2013, 7:30 pm. This will be Willie's third appearance at the Memorial Opera House and this time he will bring with him his New York City band.

Legends in Concert, the original and largest live celebrity tribute spectacular in the world, returns to Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, Michigan City, Indiana October 17-19. The live tribute show features universally-renowned performers who virtually transform, in every detail, into the celebrity superstars they portray.

Radio One Communications is having their annual Trunk or Treat event this Saturday October 19, 2013 from 1pm to 3pm at Art Hill Auto Group. A bounty of free treats will be provided by participating businesses. Come dressed in your Halloween best for the costume contest. Winners will be given prizes from the vendors.

CowtoberFest Promises a Mootastic Time for the Whole Family!
Fair Oaks Farms invites crafters and vendors to participate in our vendors fair at the CowtoberFest on October 19th! This event features family fun, with trick-or-treating, a costume parade and contest, a performance by Radio Disney, a corn maze, and a free country concert, featuring the up and coming country artist Chris Cavanaugh!

South Haven Hosts Hollow Harvest Fest
Brendan Clancy, Portage Township Trustee, and South Haven business and service organizations are hosting the 1st Annual Haven Hollow Harvest Fest on Friday, October 18. FREE for kids 12 years and younger, the fest features good ‘ol-fashioned family fun, with horse and carriage rides, games and crafts, costume parade, scavenger hunt, spooky stories by the campfire, and more.

2nd Annual Sip'n'Scream Event
It’s that time once again for “things that go bump in the night” at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum. The second annual Sip’n’Scream Halloween event will take place at the museum starting at noon on Saturday, October 19th. Showings of the Gunness Mystery, a Trivia Contest, scary storyteller, Monsters of the Lakes and more will send shivers down the spines of visitors on that day.

CST Unleashes the Monster Within
This Halloween, The Chicago Street Theatre invites audiences to unleash the monster within with their exciting new retelling of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher running October 18 through November 2. The play, based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; promises some twists and surprises for those who love a good monster story for this time of year.

It’s Here... Freaky Fun Zombie Run
The Portage Parks & Recreation Foundation will be hosting a 5K Extreme Run, the 2nd Annual Freaky Fun Zombie Run, on October 19. Runners will endure mud, water, rough terrain, an army crawl, oh yes and Zombie’s to name a few. After the race, runners can enjoy food and beverages in the beautiful setting of Imagination Glen.

Families Invited to Fall Festival at YMCA
Bring your family and friends to the free costume themed community event at the Duneland Family YMCA on Saturday, October 19, from noon to 2:00 pm. Enjoy games, prizes, and activities for everyone, including hayrides, shake walk, costume contest, and more!

Pumpkin Panik 5K Run/Walk
4:12 Youth Ministries is hosting a 5K fun run / walk in memory of Allen on Saturday, October 19. Proceeds will be donated to Allen’s family to help cover funeral expenses.
