La Porte Community School Corporation announced Katie Talbert as District Elementary Teacher of the Year. The candidates for this distinction were peer-nominated and then applications were reviewed anonymously by a selection committee of educators, educational organizational leaders, local businesses, and community members. The district is proud to have our Teachers of the Year go on to represent La Porte at the state level for consideration in the Indiana Teacher of the Year program.
