The Salvation Army of LaPorte is thrilled to report that a generous donation has been made to the Unity Foundation to start an endowment fund for the long term needs of our ministry. We appreciate the forward thinking and the generosity of the donor. These funds will create ongoing funding for the ministry at about 4.5-5% per year.
Anyone can also donate to this fund to expand the amount and impact. A special opportunity to do that will be on May 6th through the “Give Local LaPorte County”. Any funds given online during that day will be added to this amount to help us win other awards to fund our operations. You can go to http://lpcountygiveday.org for more information.

May 10th-the US Post Office is doing their annual food drive.
Youth Quake- Youth and Young Adult Praise and Worship; Saturday May 10th from 5 - 8 PM. Food, games, comedy, and live music and testimony from Dale Wratchford! Come join us...all young adults, youth and youth groups welcome!
May 17th-The LaPorte Salvation Army will be staffing a food booth at the Annual Community Garage Sale at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds.
May 24th-The LaPorte Salvation Army will be hosting a “Memorial Day Carnival” on our grounds at 3240 Monroe Street, LaPorte. This will involve a ferris wheel, rocket ride, bounce house, slides, vendor booths, games and food. 11:00am-5:00pm.
