5th Annual Kent’s Run 5K Raises $44,000 for the Fight Against Leukemia and Lymphoma

Race organizers, local Walgreens representatives, and event volunteers gathered at Boone Grove High School on Monday, October 15th, for the official check presentation from Kent’s Run 5K to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Those in attendance for the check presentation included local Walgreens executives Steve Gagne, Tom Magurany, and Wanda Marsh, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Executive Director for Indiana, Amy Kwas, race organizers Dan Ribordy, Pam

Ribordy, and Reggie Flesvig, and members of the Boone Grove High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams.

The 2012 Kent’s Run 5K continued its momentum by increasing race registrations and donations for the fifth year in a row. This past year’s event, which took place on Saturday, May 26th, at Boone Grove Middle School, hosted nearly

1000 participants and raised $44,000. In its five years of existence, Kent’s Run has generated $160,000 for the fight against leukemia and lymphoma.

The 2013 version of Kent’s Run 5K will be held on Saturday, May 25th, at Boone Grove Middle School in southern Porter County. Race time is set for 8 a.m. CST.
