For several years, Service League of Northwest Indiana hosted the area’s annual Taste of the Region. The event included dozens of local restaurants, an open bar, live music, auction and raffle with more than 600 guests. The night would bring in an average of $80,000, which in turn would be donated to local charities.
Due to the pandemic, Service League members went back to the drawing board to come up with a new idea to partner with local restaurants as well as to create a memorable night for the community to enjoy and to continue to support local charities.
“Now is not the time to go quiet or take a year off. Non-profits need our support now more than ever,” 2021 Service League President and attorney with Barnes and Thornburg, LLP Heather Delgado says.
2021 Taste of the Region Chair, Service League Member, and owner of communications consulting firm Storied Elements, LLC Nichole DeMario adds, “We spent months brainstorming a hybrid of our in-person event. The result is the best of the best and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
Supporters can now purchase their dining passport. The booklet is filled with savings from more than 30 local restaurants. They’re available for purchase on the organization’s website for $100 and will be good thru April 30, 2022.
