Mitzi Burris, Broker Associate at Century 21 Alliance Group, has one major takeaway from her newly- found career in real estate:
“You definitely don’t keep your phone on silent in this business,” Burris laughed.
In May, Burris joined Century 21 Alliance Group in Valparaiso having moved to Northwest Indiana five years prior. Previously, Burris lived and worked in Indianapolis.
Burris has always been passionate about homes. There was even a point in her life when she had 10 different addresses in 10 years by choice.
“I love homes, even just walking through a model and looking at them,” she said. “At this point in my life, it’s the perfect time for me to pursue this longtime passion of mine.”
One of the main reasons she decided to join the Century 21 Alliance Group family is the company’s commitment to training and preparation.
“Even though we go through real estate classes and take tests, Century 21 went further than this to provide us eight weeks of training that gave me even more confidence in a new market and field,” Burris said. “Having the support and encouragement from our founder, Jeanne, and Kathy, our office manager, has also been a great help.”
She is also grateful for the team environment and the relationships she has established with her fellow team members.
“We have so much fun together as a group whether its during our weekly meetings, training, or outings. I just have tons of fun learning and being around the team,” Burris said. “I truly feel like everyone has their door open if I ever had a question about something. It’s a great team atmosphere.”
When out in the field, Burris make open client communication a priority, so they are informed every step of the way.
“They can trust me to always be honest and upfront with them,” she said. “If I don’t have the answer right then, they can be assured I will do my research and find it. I work hard for my clients, and I never let anything slip through the cracks. My T’s are always crossed, and my I’s are always dotted.”
In her free time, Burris enjoys being outdoors, especially doing yard work. She loves to be surrounded by her family, creating irreplaceable memories.
“They’re my top priority. I always look forward to our time together,” she said.
This priority also fuels her passion for real estate.
“Having a home that your kids are excited to come home to, whether you’re empty nesters or starting out fresh, is real important,” she said. “You develop thousands of memories and spend precious family time in a home, and this is always in the back of my mind when browsing the market for my clients. I can picture future memories being made when I see homes.”
Looking forward, Burris is excited to develop a base cliental in Porter County and to continue establishing her name in the area.
“I enjoy my job, and I hope to continue to help people find their dream homes.”
She would like to thank everyone at Century 21 Alliance Group for supporting her as she continues to find her place in real estate.
“Century 21 has really prepared and trained me to take on the real estate field. I’m always learning, and Century 21 is adamant about this,” she said. “It’s a great place to be, and I hope to be here for a long time to come.”
