M.Ed Certified Mindset and Confidence Coach Jessica Aguilar is the owner of A Thriving Mind in Roseland. Originally from Portage, Aguilar started the company to help others see their potential.
“During those years, I worked as a therapist and school counselor,” Aguilar said. ”I realized so much of what my students and my clients were experiencing was the struggles related to limiting beliefs and lack of confidence in themselves. This led me to pursue that.”
Aguilar and her company’s mission is to teach and equip high achieving individuals and organizations with the skills and mindset to embrace authenticity, purpose, and confidence through transformative faith-based services.
“I believe that everyone has potential to create positive changes in their lives, and I am here to support you on your journey towards personal growth and transformation,” Aguilar said.
As part of her work with A Thriving Mind, Aquilar hosts workshops, speaks at public events, and gives one-on-one counseling sessions.
“I am a life coach and speaker,” she said. ”I do workshops, I have my own women's group, and I have the mentorship as well. A lot of my clients are female, but I also work with males.”
Whether she is public speaking, hosting a workshop, or working with a client one-on-one, Aguilar likes to stress establishing a healthy mindset to help clients overcome.
”I want people to know the importance of mindset, resilience, and confidence,” she said. ”I tried to be able to help my clients with reframing, with owning, with truly feeling like they can change their life. It’s just up to them to make those choices, to set those goals, and to go after those goals.”
Aguilar also hosts a podcast with her husband called “C.H.A.T. with The Aggies.”
“I enjoy just being able to go and spend time with my husband,” Aguilar said. ”I love being with my best friend.”
Her two children, a boy and a girl, are also a very important part of her life. The family spends time together gathering for dinner, traveling, going outside, and more.
“We enjoy traveling as many times as we can throughout the year, visiting new states, and going back to Mexico to visit family,” she said. “I enjoy working out. That's part of my day-to-day. I believe that health is wealth, so I try to stay active on a daily basis and get outside or go to the gym. I also love going to my church.”
