Allison Hadley grew up in Hobart, and graduated from Hobart High School in 2012. Following high school, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Marketing through Purdue University Calumet in 2016.
“I felt a connection to communications when I was looking at majors before college. It was so diverse and I felt like it was a field where I could enjoy my work, which I think is the goal for everyone,” Hadley said.
Currently, Hadley is working as the Communications Coordinator for Valparaiso Community Schools. She focuses on sharing news and events with the community, and she also works to invite the Valparaiso community to reach out to her team so they can learn how they can help and get involved with various events.
“I am so lucky. I am really looking forward to working with Valparaiso Schools to show the community all of the awesome things our schools do.”
Hadley shares that she found her true passion and dream job by being open to different possibilities, continuing to move forward, and consistently doing her best. She also shares that her parents and teachers have encouraged her to be a part of something bigger, and that nobody loses when you give back to the community.
“My parents definitely influenced me by being hard workers and doing really important jobs. My mom is a retired police officer and my dad is the fire chief in Hobart,” Hadley said. “I also have countless teachers who have influenced and encouraged me. That’s why it’s so special to be able to work with the teachers and staff at Valpo. They are doing amazing things and I’m very excited to be part of it.”
With such a dedicated employee like Hadley, Valparaiso Community Schools are sure to have a passionate representative in the community!
