The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting area residents to the Memory Walk Merrillville Kickoff Party for the 2010 Memory Walk. The kickoff will take place on July 14 at the Horizon Bank, 8590 Broadway in Merrillville, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Merrillville Kickoff is the second of a series of four Kickoffs planned for Northwest Indiana. A Kickoff was held in Munster in June, and Kickoffs in Valparaiso and LaPorte are scheduled for August. 
Please join us to socialize with others as well as get great information. Representatives will be on hand to explain Memory Walk and how you can get involved. Help will be available to register your team. Join us for a Fundraising Fair for fundraising tips and ideas. Plus, chat with successful team captains and learn tips on how to make your team successful.

Together we can bring help and hope to millions of Americans living with this disease – and millions more at risk. “There has never been a greater need for northwest Indiana citizens to join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in Memory Walk,” said Louise Thompson, an Alzheimer’s Association spokesperson. “This kickoff is a fun way to get information and learn how fun and easy it is to raise funds to find a cure.”
