A Different Approach to Church

PF-HopePF Hope is an unconventional approach to this thing called church. For those who are new to the idea of church, uncomfortable with church, or turned off by church, this is a place for you. Held at 5:30 pm on Saturdays at Myers Elementary School, this branch of the First United Methodist Church is a community for all people to encounter Jesus Christ. Contemporary Christian music videos are played prior to the start of the service and snacks are served. Kids are welcome; preschool ages will be part of Hope Grows while kindergarten through 5th grade attend S.L.A.M (Serving God, Loving Others, and Making a joyful noise). The contemporary service features the band SONday Glory leading worship.

PF Hope was founded also to help fund mission work in our community and throughout the world. Portage Food Pantry is the local mission the group helps, along with Royal Family Kids Camp, a state mission that helps abused and neglected children. Destiny's Rescue is the world mission the group supports, rescuing people from the sex-slave trade here and all over the world.
