Putting out quality food is one of the most important aspects of a restaurant. Having line supervisors to monitor that quality is incredibly necessary and something Industrial Revolution Eatery and Grille takes seriously.
One of those capable watchdogs in the Industrial Revolution kitchen is Murray Williams. With just over a year of experience in the restaurant, he knows all too well the importance of serving delicious and appealing food. From taste to plating, his watchful eye makes sure each and every dish looks perfect as it goes out the window.
“People eat with their eyes, so if it doesn’t look good, why serve it?” Williams said. “Me, personally, I’m very critical, so I pay attention to everything.”
For Williams, one of the highlights of Industrial Revolution is the environment that lends itself so well to learning. From support to teamwork, everyone in the restaurant is able to learn and build their skills during their time there. The close-knit team makes sure to help out where needed and makes sure to keep a positive attitude.
“We have good teamwork, we’re friendly, it’s a work-friendly place,” Williams said. “Everybody helps each other and it makes life easier. When I come here, it’s like coming home.”
Keeping work light-hearted is also a highlight for Williams and his coworkers. With jokes abound and a positive attitude emanating from the leaders of the kitchen, work is never dull. In fact, they take action to make sure things stay interesting and upbeat.
“We have funny things going on in the kitchen, so some of the foods we name after a person,” Williams laughed. “We work a lot, so to motivate people you have to stay positive. If they’re down, go help them. It can be intense in here.”
On his days off, Williams spends time with his daughter and takes her to soccer practices. With a few daddy-daughter dates, he makes sure to spend time with her while working hard at Industrial Revolution, as well!
