Astronaut Jerry Ross Unveils New Children’s Book at the Crown Point Library

SpaceWalkerJerry Ross will be joined by co-author Susan Gunderson to unveil his new children’s book, Becoming A Spacewalker: My Journey to the Stars on Tuesday, September 30 from 4- 7:45 p.m. at the Crown Point Community Library.

This nonfiction picture book is a children’s version of NASA astronaut Jerry L. Ross’s autobiography, Spacewalker: My Journey in Space and Faith as NASA’s Record-Setting Frequent Flyer. Designed for ages 7–12 and told in friendly first-person narration, it represents how Ross followed his dream from rural 1950s northern Indiana to Purdue University and then outer space. The thirty-two-page book is illustrated with personal photos and memorabilia.

The book will be for sale at the book signing event for $15.00 (retails $16.95). All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Crown Point Community Library and the Lake Court House Foundation.
