Barker Middle School hosted its final STEM Community Challenge for the school year on Friday, May 8. Students, staff and special guests gathered on the football field to launch water bottle rockets into an overcast sky... the goal was to engineer a craft that would stay airborne for the longest time period.
The final victors were Ms. Grabowski’s Homeroom students, who worked hard on the center of mass in their design and the energy in the spin of their water bottle rocket. (Sullair has offered the winning students a part-time summer internship for their awesome efforts!)
Thanks to ALL who took part, especially our guests from Edgewood, Lake Hills, NIPSCO, the MC Police Dept., KTR Corp., and Sullair.
