Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County (BGCLPC) invites interested community members to participate in open interviews on Tuesday, October 12 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Kingsford Heights Elementary School. The organization is currently hiring Program Leaders for its new Kingsford Heights Club, launching on Monday, October 25.
The Kingsford Heights Club, made possible through a partnership between BGCLPC and La Porte Community School Corporation, will serve Kingsford Heights Elementary School students in kindergarten through fourth grades. Club members will enjoy homework help, mentoring, service opportunities, arts experiences, health and fitness programming and much more from the time school ends until 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Program Leaders work directly with youth, facilitating programs and activities that support Academic Success, Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles. Rates start at $12-$13/hour. Applicants attending open interviews may print and complete a job application ahead of time, or receive a hard copy onsite.
The Kingsford Heights Club will be BGCLPC’s fifth location. Existing Clubs include the Pine Club Extension, Springfield Club Extension and Charles R. Westcott Club in Michigan City, plus the new Westville Club in Westville. All programming is offered completely free of charge to ensure BGCLPC’s Clubs are accessible to all children and families who need them.
