Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has Regional Winner in Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s ImageMakers Photography Contest

ClarityBoys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was informed recently by Boys & Girls Clubs of America that our organization has an ImageMakers Photography Contest Regional Winner! Sanja Kirova, Portage Club member and 2015 Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County had the winning image in the contest’s Portraits Category for youth ages 13 – 15. Her creative photo was one of sixteen pieces in the Midwest Region that will now move on to Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National competition. The Midwest Regional ImageMakers contest is comprised of photography from Clubs in thirteen Midwest states.

“There are only 16 Regional winners at this level of the ImageMakers Photography contest, so it is fantastic that Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has a representative among them! Congratulations to Sanja – and we are proud of all our Club members who participate in this program at our Clubs,” states Mark Jones, director of operations for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County.

ImageMakers Photography Contest is the culmination of many Clubs’ year-round Photography Program sponsored nationwide by Sony. The ImageMakers program teaches youth the art and science of photography, and includes opportunities to compete in Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA)’s ImageMakers National Photography Contest.
