Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Nets State Recognition and International Creative Award in 2016

BGCPC-Indiana-Alliance-Awards-2016Boys & Girls Clubs across the State of Indiana converged upon Indianapolis to participate in the Indiana Area Council and Indiana Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Conference and State Youth of the Year Competition. South Haven Club member, Tyler Goodman, represented Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County as the organization’s Youth of the Year Candidate. The State Youth of the Year program honors our state’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to GREAT Futures and encourages all kids to lead, succeed, and inspire. Tyler was one candidate among 30 from the state competing in this event. In addition to Tyler participating in the State Youth of the Year Competition, Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County received three Indiana Alliance Awards including:

  • Outstanding Board Volunteer Award for Timothy D. Rice of Lakeside Wealth Management. Tim was honored for his participation in the Indiana Alliance, accomplishments achieved as Board Vice-Chair for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, and General Co-Chair for the Duneland Boys & Girls Club’s Capital Campaign initiative.
  • Outstanding Community Volunteer Service Award for Dr. Jerry and Mrs. Linda Rodenbarger. The Rodenbarger’s were honored for their long and devoted service to Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County and Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Foundation.
  • Outstanding Marketing & Communications Award for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s marketing initiatives related to the Duneland Boys & Girls Club’s Capital Campaign.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County also received a 2016 Hermes Creative Gold Award for the organization’s 2015 Annual Report. Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals administer these awards. The Gold Award is presented to entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Approximately 22% of 6,000 entries receive this award. Gold Winners are listed on the Hermes Creative Awards website at hermesawards.com.
