Don’t you love finding the perfect gift for someone? You’re so excited that you can hardly wait for them to open it! I imagine this is how God feels about the gospel. He’s got the perfect gift for the people he created and loves—a Savior to take their sins away and give them new life. It’s such a big deal that the moment Jesus was “unwrapped” in Bethlehem all those years ago, a chorus of angels announced it!
Let me encourage you to enjoy this gift you have been given. Take time to really focus on Christ this holiday season and rest in him. He has come to make all things new—including you and me—and renews and satisfies us on our journey through this life. When he comes again, the “advent” we’re all anticipating at Christmastime, we will be together in our true home. Jesus is the Perfect Gift!
This Christmas Eve, come and worship Jesus with your church family. We have services at 8:15a, 9:45a, 11:15a, and 12:45p. Please consider coming to the 8:15a or 12:45p service to make room for guests in earlier services. And because I cannot say it enough, thank you for your faithful giving this year. There are only 3 Sundays left in 2017 to help us accomplish all our goals for this ministry year. When you give, you are investing in the next person who will experience hope, healing, and life change through Jesus Christ—and the next, and the next, and the next.
See you Sunday!
Family Worship Night
Meet in the Worship Center for lively, kid-friendly, God-praising worship at 5:45p. Then enjoy the rest of the night as a family hanging out and doing fun activities together throughout the church building.
Play laser tag, snap pics in the holiday photo booth, and bounce in the bounce houses (sorry parents, kids only!). Take a break with hot chocolate and cookies and catch up with other Calvary families.
Christmas Eve
We love tradition, and our longstanding tradition of worshipping on Christmas Eve continues. Spend Christmas Eve with friends and family celebrating the bright hope that Jesus brought to the world and to every one of us. Worship with us at 8:15a, 9:45a, 11:15a & 12:45p.
Changing Lives
Thank you for giving generously! You can help our church finish the year strong and continue doing what God's Word tells us to do: share the hope of Christ; care for orphans, vulnerable families, and immigrants; and support and encourage one another. Give today.
