Patrick’s Grille is a local restaurant out of Michigan City that offers professional catering services. These services are extremely adaptable and work with its customers to meet their exact needs.
Julie Krause, general manager and head of corporate catering planning at Patrick’s Grille, explained that the catering options can include full-service food and bar service if desired. At a full-service event, all equipment - including tables and linens - is brought in, set up, and taken down by staff members of Patrick’s Grille.
“We do on-site catering which can be done in a couple of different ways. We work with you on the food; we are licensed and insured to do full bar service as well,” Krause said. “We can bring in all of our equipment. We set up all the tables, the dinner service, the dinnerware, the flatware, and then we can stay on-site and we can service the event.”
This is one option of a more full-service type of catering offered. The Patrick’s Grille staff is able to meet a multitude of different needs when it comes to corporate catering.
“We've done chef carving stations where we bring a chef in and they will carve meat on site; we've done omelet stations where one of our chefs comes in and cooks omelets fresh to order. That's a full service where our staff will come in and we set everything up,” Krause said. “We can either do plated or a buffet and then, if you want the full service, our staff will clear everything. We can bring in the linen service and we can do pretty much whatever you want, and then we can scale it back as well. It depends on what the guest is looking for.”
In terms of what food can be served at an event, Krause works closely with the customer to align the needs of the particular event with the logistics of travel while keeping the food fresh. Krause explained that, because she has an event planning background, she has many connections and is able to ensure everything at the event will run smoothly, especially the freshness of the food.
“When we come on-site, I work with you. It depends on how far we have to travel, how long that will be from when the food is made, when the food is served, and what types of foods will hold up the best,” Krause said. “We do a very professional job. Everything is done first-class with us.”
As well as on-site catering, there is an option to host your event at Patrick’s Grille in its private event space. Events in this space are typically corporate dinners or luncheons with a pre-selected menu of options.
“We have an event space; it is a private room. It will accommodate up to 40 guests, and we do utilize it for both social and corporate,” Krause said.
The chef of Patrick’s Grille has been working with Krause for catering events for many years now. The main focus of the catering is to ensure the events receive the same level of freshness as the attendees would dining in at the restaurant.
“When people do events, they want that same freshness and that same flavor, and we're able to provide it. Everything is done very fresh. We're able to bring that on-site; you're able to still have the same flavor as if you were sitting here in the restaurant.”
In order to begin planning an event with Patrick’s Grille catering, customers can visit the Patrick’s Grille website and fill out the catering contact form to get started. Krause will then begin the planning process and work with the customer to ensure the needs of the event are met.
“The contact form comes to me directly and then I reach out to them, find out what their needs are and what they're looking for, and then I can put together a proposal or they can come in and meet with me to talk about it,” Krause said. For more information, or to book a catered event with Partick’s Grille, please visit patricksgrille.com.
