East Chicago’s IVY Tech President, Mr. Louie Gonzalez, and Hammond’s Mr. John Kiernan of Calumet Breweries headline the Lakeshore Chamber’s February 21st Annual Dinner and will be honored as the Lakeshore’s Business Persons of the Year.
Additionally, the chamber will honor not only local businesses for longevity and economic development, but also Teachers, Firemen, EMT’s, and Police Officers from East Chicago and Hammond.
Civil Service Winners to be honored are:
East Chicago: Inspector Captain Steve Wielgos, Sergeant Jorge D. Almedina, and Teacher Veronica Garcia.
Hammond: EMT- 1P Brandon Ashana, Captain Richard Gonzalez, Captain Ezequiel Hinojosa, Teacher Kelli Lucito, and Teacher Rina Horgan
