CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana entered a new era for their business on Friday May 12th with their ribbon cutting and grand opening of their new office in Crown Point.
The celebration marked the end of a year-long process, which started with the decision to move from their smaller previous location in Crown Point. The new location at 811 East Franciscan Drive, also known as Nine-Mile Road to locals, the new office brings a host of benefits to CertaPro.
“The practicality of having enough space to be able to have our team here was a big part of the move in addition to having a great location,” said John Jordan, President and Owner of CertaPro Painters of NWI. “Having a street storefront on a busy road has really helped us get a lot of exposure to customers.”
Better serving their customers also played a part in CertaPro moving to the new office. With more space, the company can better serve its customers.
“We needed more office space, but also continue to have shop space,” said Mark Powers, Director of Operations for CertaPro Painters of Northwest Indiana. “We then needed space for our employees and our painters to come in and be able to train. We're also able to offer more services with color consults, and customers coming into our Color Studio.”
As a service-based company that needs to reach many communities around the Region, CertaPro sought a location that is centrally located.
“Another dimension about Crown Point is that it is centrally located where you have I-65 right nearby,” said Powers. “Or, you can go right down Nine-Mile and you can shoot out to Valpo pretty quickly. It makes it very, very simple to get to anywhere in Northwest Indiana.”
Jordan and Powers had talked about moving out of their old office and into their new one for a while. With the company growing it made sense to finally make the move - one that’s excited CertaPro partners like their main paintsupplier, Sherwin-Williams.
“This move is going to be incredible," said Mike Paduch, sales representative for Sherwin-Williams. “They can service their customers on multiple levels now. With color consults in store, training their employees, and they can start doing projects in-house - it's just another level of advertisement marketing and adding more value to their customers.”
It is an exciting mile marker to mark CertaPro’s growth, but Jordan emphasized that they still have work to do.
“It is exciting that we are at this point," Jordan said. “At the same time it's still business as usual.”
