Indiana State Senator Mike Bohacek and State Representative Jim Pressel recently presented Horizon Bank’s Chairman and CEO, Craig M. Dwight with the state’s highest honor, a Sagamore of the Wabash Award for his civic leadership and significant contributions to his community.

Governor Eric Holcomb received support for Craig’s vast contributions to the community from Michele Magnuson, Horizon Bancorp’s Lead Director, whose words of Craig’s accomplishments and community service were instrumental in securing this award.
“Craig’s contributions to create a better life for individuals in Michigan City and LaPorte County as well as throughout Northwest Indiana have been remarkable. It has been a privilege to work with Craig and see his inspiration and true dedication first hand when it comes to his community,” stated Magnuson.

He has served and chaired the local hospital board, United Way of La Porte County, and the local economic development corporation.
