Saturday’s Semi-Final Girls Basketball Game at La Porte was a hectic, wild ride. Both Crown Point and Fort Wayne Carroll came to fight, but the Bulldogs came out on top with a score of 62-46 in the end. It was the first quarter, buzzer-beating, half-court shot by #14 Jessica Carrothers that gave Crown Point the fire they needed to defeat the Chargers.
After the win, Crown Point Head Coach Chris Seibert, had nothing but praise for his team.
“We knew this was going to be a battle,” Seibert said. “I’m so happy that the kids get to experience this through all of their hard work and all of the time and sacrifices they’ve put in; it doesn’t get any better than this.”
Looking for their first state championship since 1997, the Crown Point Bulldogs will take on the Brownsburg Bulldogs on Saturday, February 27 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
