Portage First United Methodist Church is hosting a cruise-in benefit for Julie Kremke on August 4, 2012. Julie has a very rare disease called Pompe disease, which attacks all of the muscles in the body. This fundraiser will help with the rising medical bills and also for modifications to her car and home, so she can continue a decent quality of life. The changes to the house and car will increase her mobility in and around the home, and for getting to and from the doctor's office.
A pre-registration donation of $20 is requested. The day of registration, the fee is $25. Registration will be held from 9 to 11 am.
There will be door prizes, food, and fun for everyone! Trophies will be awarded at 4 pm. Cars will be judged by members of the church and the general public.
100% of the proceeds will go to off-set the medical expenses for Julie Kremke.
