Danny Lackey has spent the last 28 years in human services working with children and families in mental health and education. Mr Lackey has been noted for his work with a diversity student club called S.T.A.N.D. (Socially together and Naturally Diverse) at Merrillville High School. S.T.A.N.D. is a student-led club that promotes an appreciation for diversity by doing various community service projects throughout the year. In 2013, Mr. Lackey was promoted to an administrative position, Director of Diversity and Student Support Services, in the Merrillville School Corporation.
