Downtown businesses are giving back this holiday season in downtown La Porte! For the whole month of December, select downtown businesses will be host donation boxes, provided by La Porte business Packaging Logic, for several area charities.
Various locations will be supporting various entities. To donate to the Salvation Army, donations will be accepted at Seven Restaurant, 512 State Street; Kemps Office City, 812 Lincolnway; and Cannon’s Automotive, 710 Tyler Street. Many businesses are accepting donations for the La Porte County Small Animal Shelter including Worthington Art Studio, 713 Indiana Ave.; Zelden’s Shoe Store, 723 Lincolnway; Indiana Deli & Catering, 805 Indiana Ave. ; KarahTess Clothing & Lettering, 803 Indiana Ave.; Goosefeathers Gifts, 515 State Street; Engstrom’s Jewelers, 820 Lincolnway; Edgerton’s Travel Service, 801 Indiana Ave.; Jazzercise of La Porte, 717 Michigan Ave. 3rd Floor and Magic Sports, 724 Lincolnway.
Other businesses accepting donations for charity include Hatfield Pest Control, 601 Washington Street; Wings Etc, 1115 E Lincolnway; and Sims Meats at 1719 State Street (Silver Palace Complex) for the La Porte Jaycees/Deserving Children's Shopping Tour. Kabelin’s Ace Hardware, 605 E. Lincolnway, Roxy Music and Kabelin Closeout Store are taking office supply donations for the Stepping Stone Shelter for Women.
