Porter-Starke Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Abigail Isakson, D.O., to its psychiatric staff. Dr. Isakson will offer psychiatric services to children aged five and up, adolescents and adults seeking individual, marital or family counseling. She will also treat substance abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, and dissociative disorders.
Dr. Isakson has over 19 years of experience in the mental health field. She completed her undergraduate work in biology at the University of California, and then went on to medical school at the Tulsa College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Isakson completed her residency in psychiatry at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas. She is board certified in psychiatry. She previously worked at a private practice in Savoy, Illinois working with children, adolescents and families.

Dr. Isakson recently moved to the Valparaiso area from Champaign, IL. She resides with her husband Tom and her two children, ages 7 and 6. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking and meditating.
