Duneland-KindermusikDuneland Kindermusik is currently accepting registrations for the fall semester of classes. The new semester begins Monday, Sept. 15, all classes run for 13-14 weeks. Kindermusik, German for children’s music, was created by early childhood specialists, incorporating the latest brain research in its curricula. Kindermusik programs provide early childhood learning opportunities through innovative music and movement activities and involve families in the joy of their child’s development. The most current research on child development indicates that a child’s fundamental learning takes place between birth and 7 years. Kindermusik offers a child a broad assortment of activities to promote language development, social interaction, cognitive development, motor skills and creativity.

Duneland Kindermusik offers a full program of Kindermusik classes. This fall Kindermusik Village, newborns - 2yrs old, will engage in the curricula Zoom Buggy and Dream Pillow. There wlll be many upbeat and playful activities to participate with your child, along with rocking, cuddling, and singing.

Kindermusik Our Time, 18 months- 3 1/2 years, will enjoy “Milk and Cookies.” This curriculum makes everyday home activities and chores easier and more fun with music. Pretend trips to the grocery store, cooking in the kitchen, dusting and washing clothes, playing a stirring xylophone, captures the excitement of this class.

Kindermusik imagine That, 3-5 years, will delight in a weather-related musical adventure, “Hello Weather Let’s Play Together.” Children will use their imagination as they participate in activities that include singing along with the pitter patter of the musical raindrops, jumping in rain puddles, creating the “boom bang” of the thunder, and the “zig zag” of lightning while playing the drums, exploring rain sticks, dashing through the wind and rain, and throwing pretend snowballs.

Young Child, 5-8 years, will learn how to read and play music on the glockenspiel, dulcimer, and recorder. Your child will be exposed to various types of multicultural styles and musical genres. Children explore their singing voice, clap and rhythms, learn musical symbols, and play authentic instruments. This is a two year program, and functions well as a preparatory program for piano lessons.

Family Time, 0 - 5 years, helps to facilitate and build family bonds, creativity, physical and mental development in a delightful one-room schoolhouse. Family Time helps children develop musical skills, as well as social skills necessary to share, take turns and strengthen the emotional bonds among family members.
