Eisenhower Elementary Students Help Supply Lake County Animal Control Center

einsenhower-national-library-week-2016Eisenhower celebrated National Library Week by hosting a fund raiser for the Lake County Animal Control Center in Crown Point. Students brought in pet food and supplies to help the homeless animals. Gwen Hammonds and Linda Olsen and their dogs Daisy and Shelby from Power Paws joined us for our National Library Week Celebration.

We also had Julie Woodburn from the Greyhound Rescue along with Quimby, Kyle and Lucy. Last but not least we had my dog, "Pickles the Media Mutt." The children learned a lot about our four legged friends during this wonderful event.
