The Empty Bowls project, a dual effort on the part of the Portage High School art department and members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, will be returning this spring in support of the Portage Township Food Pantry. The public is invited to the Portage High School West cafeteria on Saturday, April 16, from 11:00 to 1:30 to enjoy a delicious bowl of homemade chili or soup served by the women of Holy Cross.
The price of a bowl of soup and a soft drink is $5.00. For an extra $5.00, however, you may choose from a large selection of beautiful ceramic bowls created by Portage High School art students. As no two of these bowls are alike, this is an opportunity to acquire a truly unique piece of art.
