Leaf pick-up for the City of Portage is scheduled to begin Monday October 25, 2010. Leaves are scheduled to be picked up on the same day as trash/recycling for city residents. During the heaviest leaf pickup weeks, there may be a need to push some neighborhoods to alternate days. 
Officials ask residents to place leaves at the edge of the curb for pickup. Leaves should be the only thing in the pile -- no sticks, bricks, boards or other items should be included. Additional items should be placed off the street, near the curb.
