The Mayor's Substance Abuse Prevention Taskforce is sponsoring a First Responders Training on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010. The event will be held at the Valparaiso University Student Union- Ballroom A, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. 
Ken Perkins and Jim Warren of Dynamic Life Development will teach 20 risk factors that contribute to drug use, along with protective factors that buffer young people from exposure to risk factors within the community, family, and school domains.
Parents, teenagers, youth workers, pastors, and any interested individuals concerned about drug use in our teenagers should attend. To register for the event, email Dave Bauer at dbauer@familycounsel.org.
