Foundation Awards Grant for Reality Store

The Duneland Education Foundation (DEF) has donated $500 to the Partners in Education Committee of the Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce for the Reality Store scheduled for April 16.

Reality Store is a systemwide eighth grade experience that connects classroom, career and family expectations into a day that mimics the reality of "real life" scenarios.

More than 120 local business people and community volunteers help to guide the students through their budgeting choices as they man the various stations at the Reality Store.
