Free Kid’s Fishing Derby at Porter’s Indian Springs Park set for June 17, 2015

Porter-Parks-Kids-Fishing-Derby-Flyer-2015Is your 6-12 year old interested in learning how to fish, or would they like to show off the fishing skills they already have? If you answered yes, then get them signed up for the MS4 Kids Fishing Derby at Indian Springs Park scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th from 8:00am-Noon (Rain Date - June 24th).

We will have guides on site available to provide instruction and assist throughout the event. There will be prizes for the biggest fish, games for after the derby, and a hotdog lunch. All fishing equipment will be provided, and all participants must be accompanied by an adult.

This FREE event is put on through a partnership of the Town of Chesterton Storm Water Utility, the Town of Porter Storm Water/MS4 Program, and the Town of Porter Park Department with sponsorship from Indiana American Water and support from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Northwest Indiana Steelheaders, and Town of Porter Fire Department.
