Frontline Foundations is a non-profit, state certified, faith-based substance abuse treatment facility. Currently they have addictions counselors and a clinical psychologist employed to work with their 18-28 year old clients. Group and individual sessions are offered at both the Valpo and Chesterton locations.
Frontline Foundations is currently hosting its 3rd Annual Open House and Art Show. Allen Grecula, from the Foundation, noticed that the majority of the client base had great artistic talent, that was not being utilized. Together with local artist Bart Powers, they found a way to offer the clients an outlet to express their artistic talents. Every Tuesday night, during the aftercare program, a vast array of client art is displayed, from sculptures to paintings and jewelry, and more. This helps give the clients a sense of accomplishment and self-worth. The Tuesday night art also serves as a fundraiser for Frontline, helping to offset the client costs for the services offered. Their hard work and dedication is making treatment more viable and cost effective for those who follow behind them.
Come out to Frontline this Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2-7 pm at their Chesterton location, 802 Wabash, for an Open House and Art Show. All proceeds from the event help pay for client services and a percentage goes to the local artists that have created the work.
Frontline Foundations is located at 257 Indiana Ave in Valparaiso. Call 219.728.1638 for more information.
