Coverage Recap

On Thursday, January 18, The Valparaiso High School Vikings traveled to Lake Central High School to take on the Indians in a Boys and Girls Basketball double-header.

Next Week in Sports

Despite the weather, we’re hoping to see the Girls Varsity Basketball Porter County Conference Championship Tournament crown its champion this week as the (19-1) Tri-Township Tigers take on the (15-4) South Central Satellites in a game that should be a great one.

Additionally, the (3-14) Michigan City Wolves Girls Basketball team travels to La Porte to take on the (2-17) Slicers while the (3-10) Wheeler Bearcats Boys Basketball team hosts the (1-10) Whiting Oilers.

Finally, the Boys Basketball Porter County Conference Championship games will take place where the (11-3) Morgan Township Cherokees will battle the (13-1) Hebron Hawks in a game that could potentially come down to the wire.

On Friday, January 26, the (8-11) Wheeler Bearcats girls basketball team travels to face the (7-12) Whiting Oilers.

On Saturday, January 27, the (9-6) Chesterton Trojans boys basketball team travels to Hanover Central to take on the (6-5) Wildcats.

On Saturday, January 27, the 2024 IHSAA Boys Wrestling Sectionals begin, which should be a fun start to the IHSAA tournament!
