What’s recently happened?

Crown Point High School’s 2024 Homecoming celebration was a vibrant, community-focused event that brought together students, staff, and local residents. The Homecoming parade was a standout feature of the weekend. Starting at Taft Middle School and making its way to the high school, the parade included buses filled with cheerleaders, floats carrying the Homecoming Court, and displays from the local fire and police departments. The Royal Regiment Marching Band also took part, and in a heartwarming moment, senior band members were honored by walking behind the underclassmen, marking their final year as part of the Homecoming festivities.

After the parade, excitement shifted to the football field, where Crown Point High School's team dominated its rivals, Portage High School, with an impressive 42-7 win. The Homecoming game attracted a large crowd, and the school’s victory was a fitting end to a day filled with Bulldog pride. The energy continued into the next evening, when students gathered for the annual Homecoming dance, which drew hundreds of attendees and gave everyone a chance to celebrate together.

Homecoming at Crown Point High School is more than just a football game or a dance; it's a powerful tradition that strengthens the bonds between students and the larger community. Events like these, which bring people together to celebrate, help maintain a close-knit spirit that is central to Crown Point’s identity.

His approach to teaching literature and writing equips students with critical thinking skills while maintaining an engaging classroom environment.
