Green Awareness Day Set for Saturday, June 7th, 2014

2014-Green-Awareness-DayOn Saturday, June 7th join the City of Gary Department of Green Urbanism, Gary Storm Water Management District and other partners during the Household Hazardous Waste Collection & Green Awareness Day. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at 34th & Broadway in Gary, IN (IUN Parking Lot #12).

Free Shredding - Need help disposing of documents with your personal information?
E-Recycling - Bring old computers, televisions under 40 inches, cell phones and other electronics
Textile Recycling - Free bags for residents who bring a bag of clothes for recycling (limited supply).
Free Paint - The Gary Recycling Department will distribute free recycled paint to Gary residents.
The Gas Can Exchange Program - Bring in an old gas can to exchange for a new environmental friendly 2.5 gallon gas can
Free Rain Barrel Raffle - Everyone who attends the HHW Collection Day can enter for a chance to win a Free Rain Barrel
