Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr., Hammond Parks & Recreation and PepsiCo are proud to announce the 14th Annual Cinco De Mayo Celebration to be held on Saturday, May 5 at the Hammond Civic Center, 5825 S. Sohl Avenue from 5p-10p.
Tickets are on sale now at the Hammond Civic Center Business Office for $15 each, which includes food and live entertainment.
This colorful gala features fantastic Mexican cuisine by El Gran Taco Mexican Grill, served from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The menu this year consists of chicken fajitas, diced pork ribs in green salsa stew, stuffed poblano peppers, rice, beans, chips and salsa. Children’s meals are available for $5 each, consisting of hard shell tacos filled with shredded chicken and cheesy potatoes or quesadillas on flour tortilla, rice and beans.
This year’s entertainment is Mariachi Allstarz from 5-7pm, Ballet Folkorico Fiesta Mexicana will perform from 7:15-7:45pm, with the very popular band Together will close out the evening.
A cash bar is available and serving Bud Light, Corona and Bud Light Margaritas in lime and strawberry.
