Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

On Friday, Oct. 30, Miss Bourget’s third-grade class participated in themed activities as a part of their annual Halloween party. They played multiple games before watching a movie to end the day.

“For Halloween we did a Would You Rather game here. You go to one side of the room or the other, and the students who guessed my answer got candy. Then, we had groups of two and they had to decide which cup has the skittles under it, and if they picked correctly they won the skittles. Afterwards, we made Halloween paper crowns and we also had a coloring contest where Mr. DeLaughter was the judge, which was very exciting. We had a scavenger hunt for the goodie bags around the room and finally we finished our party with the movie Coco, my personal favorite,” Miss Bourget said.

Bourget, along with other teachers, planned the activities rather than the parents who usually volunteer to help with the parties due to Covid-19 restrictions. She enjoyed the process and is looking forward to future parties.

“Halloween was definitely different, mainly because the parents used to be in charge of the entire party from start to finish. I honestly had a blast planning this party and hanging out with my students when there’s no learning or pressure involved. Each student brought in $2 to donate to our party and some donated even more. It was so easy and fun to find games and goodies I know my kiddos would love. I would definitely party plan again,” Bourget said.
