Harley-Davidson’s 2024 grand touring redesigns offer improved performance, customization and rider safety at affordable prices

Harley-Davidson and American motorcycles are synonymous thanks to a consistent dedication to accessibility and innovation. 2024’s lineup of redesigned grand touring bikes continues this trend, improving on last year’s models to create a brand new fan favorite bike at an affordable price.

Harley’s grand touring models – the Street Glide and the Road Glide – have seen a comprehensive redesign that puts the rider first. This includes both practical improvements, such as improved displays, and creature comforts like more storage space in the saddlebags and an improved radio.

“The inner and outer fairing are all new alongside a new radio, new gauges, and new saddlebags,” said Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso General Manager Jeff Haggerty. “Overall, it’s a complete redesign.”

Additionally, the 2024 grand touring models feature performance enhancements in the form of reduced weight, improved aerodynamics, and an all-new Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine. The lights have also seen an upgrade both up front and in the rear, providing greater visibility and increasing rider safety. The end result is a ride that’s smoother and more comfortable than the 2023 model.

Both the Street Glide and Road Glide come in a variety of colors with optional features to make the motorcycle truly your own.

“The nice thing about Harley is that we can do anything you want,” Haggerty said. “The new base color is billiard gray, but we have premium colors and trims like Onyx White, Whiskey Fire, and Blue Burst. We have some great color choices this year.”

Other optional features include embedded navigation that puts all the information you need for your ride at your fingertips, as well as trim customization to make your bike stand out.

Perhaps the greatest improvement to the 2024 grand touring models, however, is the new price point. Starting at $25,999, it is several thousand dollars cheaper than its 2023 counterpart, making the 2024 lineup more accessible than it's ever been before.

“They're actually less expensive this year than they were last year,” Haggerty said. “I’ve been with Harley since 1996, and this is the first time that that's ever happened.”

Altogether, the grand touring models’ redesigns have made the Street Glide and Road Glide a growing favorite among Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso’s customers. As the weather warms up and the Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso team is able to show off the new models more, Haggerty is expecting the bikes to sell well.

“There has already been a lot of interest,” he said.
