Highland High School recently put on the peppy, colorful Broadway musical Hairspray. In the beginning of May students took to the stage, and the talent, as well as the hair, was HUGE!
"It went absolutely astounding! We had standing ovations each night, and the Highland Theatre Company is grateful for everyone who came out to see the show," Zach Fraley, student and play participant said.
Nearly 1,500 tickets were sold for the show, breaking the record for highest attended show at Highland High School.
It took around 60 crew members to get the musical going. The cast practiced continually, getting their lines, lyrics, and dance moves just right so that they could make each performance memorable. Main characters included:
