Horizon has honored Advisors Krysta Loucks, Jennifer Shoup, Donna Willis, and Jennifer Wilson with the Go Beyond Community Service Award.
Krysta Loucks, Operational Risk Specialist, was presented the Go Beyond Community Service Award for her dynamic leadership and passion for community engagement.
Loucks’ excels at organizing events, inspiring Horizon Advisors to participate, and raising awareness for different causes. This year alone, she has been involved with impactful events like the Tour De LaPorte for the YMCA, Run for Hope for the Swanson Center, Singing Sands event, Dragon Boat Race benefitting Dunebrook, the Riley Middle School Walk-A-Thon, and ringing the bell for the Michigan City Salvation Army. Louks’ positive energy and dedication is an inspiration to everyone.
“I am absolutely honored and humbled to be nominated, let alone picked, for this award. I would like to share this award with all of the La Porte County advisors who have always answered the call to volunteer to make a difference!” expressed Loucks.
Jennifer Shoup, Vice President, District Manger, was awarded the Go Beyond Community Service Award for her ability to inspire and engage with others, combined with her proactive approach to making a difference, highlights her exceptional role in fostering community connections and driving positive change.
“I truly love being a part of this community and making a difference through our collective efforts. It’s an honor to work alongside such passionate individuals and to contribute to initiatives that have a real impact,” stated Shoup.
Shoup actively participates in a wide array of events and organizations, including her roles on the boards of Women in Leadership of LaPorte County and The Acorn Theatre. Her commitment extends to volunteering with the LaPorte Health Foundation, the Play for Jake Foundation, the Salvation Army, among others.
Donna Willis, AVP, Branch Manager, received the Go Beyond Community Service Award for her unwavering commitment to serving both the community and its people.
Willis’ involvement spans numerous organizations, including the Cadillac Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and Habitat for Humanity. Whether it’s volunteering at local events or providing financial education to students, her efforts reflect deep dedication to our community.
“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this award. This recognition fuels my passion to keep contributing and working towards making a meaningful impact. Thank you for this acknowledgment and for inspiring me to continue striving for positive change alongside all of you,” stated Willis.
Jennifer Wilson, AVP, Branch Manager. Wilson was awarded the Go Beyond Community Service Award for her contributions and unwavering passion and dedication to the Johnson County community.
Wilson has been involved in her community for over 30 years. She volunteers at a wide range of events in her community, is a college mentor, and participates in over 20 community events throughout the year. Currently, Wilson serves as the President of Kappa, Kappa, Kappa, Inc. and was awarded the 2024 Community Impact Award by the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
“It is an honor to be one of the recipients of the Community Service Awards. Volunteering and being involved in the community is truly a passion of mine. I have met some incredible individuals, who are now some of my closest friends. When we actively engage with others in our community, volunteer, join local organizations, we foster meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging,” Wilson stated.
